​Yonatan Amir is an art critic, editor, researcher, and lecturer. He teaches at the school of multidisciplinary art at Shenkar College. He is also the founder and co-editor of the online art magazine “Erev Rav” and the co-host of its podcast "L’shem Shamayim." Yonatan has published art reviews and articles in newspapers, magazines, and catalogs. He played a role in establishing the Pardes School of Art for religious Jewish students, was involved in the writing and editing of the book Muslala–The First Five Years, and participated in the founding and operation of the Manofi festival of contemporary art in Jerusalem. Yonatan holds a bachelor's degree in art from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem and a master's degree with honors from the cultural studies program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is currently writing his doctoral dissertation on theological affinities in Israeli art at the art history department of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. As a visiting faculty member of the Mandel Leadership Institute, Yonatan oversees the academic coordination of the Mandel Program for Leadership in Jewish Culture. ​​
