The program is for Haredi heads of social and educational organizations, and entrepreneurs and activists in the fields of education, society, and community. Candidates should have a broad Torah background, a clear sense of mission, strong intellectual and practical abilities, and a deep commitment to the Haredi community, its culture, and its values.
Graduates of Mandel Leadership Institute programs hold senior positions in government, society, and education; establish and lead new projects; and direct influential institutions and organizations in Israel and around the world.

2. Leadership
- Developing visions and pictures of the future
- Reading reality in depth and breadth, and translating visions into practice
- Coping with contemporary challenges from a Torah perspective
3. Improving tools of practice
- Rhetoric, debating, writing opinion pieces, presentation, management, resource development
- Field trips, field projects, and encounters with groundbreaking initiatives in Israel and abroad
- Networking and personal meetings with senior figures and policy makers in Israeli government and society
- Workshops for developing personal and organizational vision
- Personal project
4. Individual tutoring
The program will be held over the course of two years, with sessions conducted on Thursdays, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Fellows receive a monthly stipend.
Admissions Process
The admissions process consists of three stages:
- Submission of application documents (including details of referees)
- Text workshop and personal interviews
- Roundtable – selection of fellows
The final date for the receipt of all application forms and references is February18, 2019.
