Micah Sapir
Pedagogical Research and Development Assistant
Micah Sapir is a pedagogical research and development assistant at the Mandel Leadership Institute, where he works for the Mandel Leadership Program for Senior Civil Servants, and at the Mandel School for Educational Leadership. He is pursuing a doctorate in sociology of education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where his dissertation examines how teachers' technological practices reflect and shape their educational aims. He holds a master's degree in sociology of education from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a bachelor's degree in gender and sexuality studies and education studies from Yale University. Prior to joining Mandel, Micah was a research intern at the Israel Democracy Institute and a research assistant and teaching assistant at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he also worked at the NCJW Research Institute for Innovation in Education. Micah performs with the Jerusalem Chamber Choir, and previously conducted the Jerusalem chapter of HaZamir: The International Jewish Teen Choir.
